How to install our Possum Release Latch

Installing our Possum Release Latch is a simple and efficient process, allowing you to safely guide possums out of your roof while preventing their return. Designed for easy setup, this solution works effectively on tiled pitched roofs and can be adapted for tin roofs, whether pitched or flat.

Tiled Roof

After possum entry points have been repaired, simply remove a roof tile, as close to the entry point as possible, and replace it with the possum release door. Once all possums have exited the roof space remove the possum release door and replace with roof tile.

Tin Roof

The possum release door can be adapted to use in a tin roof by installing a dektite during the possum entry point repairs. This dektite will require a short length of PVC pipe fitted with an end cap to make the roof watertight after the possum release door has been removed.
