For best results, apply Simplex 500 SC to bare, moist soil, as the product primarily absorbs through the roots. Adequate moisture (from rainfall or irrigation) is required to move the herbicide into the root zone, enhancing its effectiveness. Established perennial weeds may not be controlled at recommended rates, but application rates from 2.3 to 88 L per hectare allow for broad adaptability depending on soil conditions, weed species, and other environmental factors.
