Supplied as 2 pieces, these Trelona Timber Monitoring Bases are used when a stations is used for monitoring termite activity along with a Termite Inspection Cartridge.
The monitoring system is comprised of two components, The Timber Monitor Base (TMB) and the Termite Inspection Cartridge (TIC), a Puri-cell micro crystalline cartridge that is sold separately.
The Timber Monitor Base (TMB) is machined with horizontal grooves and is sourced from a premium wood species. The timber monitor base is placed into the base of the station first - this creates significant wood to soil contact and provides a conducive environment for termites.
The Termite Inspection Cartridge (TIC) should be placed in the bait station on top of the Timber Monitor Base (TMB). The design of this monitoring system allows termites to easily find the Timber Monitor Base build in numbers when feeding on the timber and travel upwards into the Termite Inspection Cartridge.
